Trick - or - Treat

This year's trick-or-treat hours are 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31st. 

If you choose to participate in traditional trick-or-treat this year, please take steps to do so safely. Here are a few suggestions to help ensure your family remains safe:

• Trick-or-treat with family members and close friends only. Do not go with large groups outside of your typical social circle.
• Keep hand sanitizer with you and use it often.
• Consider using candy grabbers so kiddos can take their candy from a distance.  

If you choose to hand out candy during trick-or-treat hours, please take steps to ensure the safety of the kids going door-to-door and remember to keep your porch light on from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Here are a few suggestions to safely hand out candy and goodies: 

• Set up a table outside with pre-packaged treats available for kids to collect from a distance. 
• Hang candy from low hanging tree branches or stake candy bags throughout your yard, allowing for kids not to make direct contact when collecting treats. 
• Use candy grabbers to place candy in trick-or-treaters bags. 
• Make a candy chute to distribute treats.
• Ditch the bowl and place individual candies or baggies on your porch step as trick-or-treaters approach.
