The City of Madison is hosting the fifth consecutive year of Red, White, & BOO! which is underwritten this year by McDonald's at 744 Clifty Dr. This popular community event will return as the safe alternative to Trick-or-Treating on Monday, October 31st from 6:00-8:00PM at the Brown Gymnasium. Last year, nearly 500 children ages 12 and under attended the event.
This event will feature many local businesses and organizations with games and candy for children. Current plans include music provided by 96.7FM WORX and a costume contest. For the second year, the costume contest will include a photograph area and voting will take place online through the City of Madison and Madison Indiana Observer facebook pages. Citizens of all ages are invited to come and enjoy the evening by dressing up, although only kids 12 and under can receive treat bags. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
In the past, due to the generosity of our community, Red, White, & Boo! has never needed to use taxpayer dollars. We would like to continue the same this year. If your business or organization would like to host a game that night, donate money, candy, or prizes, please contact Andrew Forrester at 812-265-8300 or community@madison-in.gov . Thank you for your generous support of this event!
