Meeting the first and third Tuesdays of each month, at Harry's Stone Grill, Tuesday, July 2nd meeting will host representatives of Quilts of Valor Foundation. "Quilting to Honor and Comfort" The history of this worth-while organization began in February 2007 when Al Lind was held as a POW for two years during WWII, and became dedicated to making Quilts of Valor. By the time of his death, September 10, 2010, he had pieced over 450 Quilts of Valor to be awarded to warriors who like him, had experienced the wounds of war. All members are encouraged to attend and bring a guest. Those interested in becoming a member of the local Lions Club are also invited to attend.
